The four seater Edwardian seat is based on the classic Edwardian design, which was developed from 'Pyghtle A Design' originally made by White's of Bedford. An original example of this seat is shown in Gertrude Jekyll's book on Garden Ornament and Country Houses. I interpreted the original drawing of the design in the book to an elegant piece of furniture with a strong emphasis on the strength of the construction and the classic design.
I renamed my design the 'Edwardian' after the classic Edwardian period of gardening.
